This is what I have to deal with before I go to bed tonight. Washing - no problem. Drying - easy! Folding - ah...yeah...should've done that yesterday when I could have read while everyone else folded. Bugger.
Perhaps I'll just sleep on the lounge.

oh yes, i have well and truly earned my name of lady of the laundry- sleep on the lounge honey, its easier xx
I taught my kids early on to do their own laundry. Best idea I had in a long time!
Since I'm single and sleeping alone, I like to keep a nice pile of laundry on the bed next to me. Keeps the bed from feeling so empty!
@Joanie - My mum did the same, I've been waiting till Tom was old enough and I reckon we're just about there. Might be going out to buy several laundry baskets for the kids' bedrooms in the very near future.
Adam ended up doing most of the folding while I tidied up a bit and took the bins out. I came in on the tail end and helped pair socks :)
Wow, that's a mountain of not fun. Definitely like the idea of getting the kids involved to help tackle that pile. Good luck
I end up folding everything too. meh.
I stall at every stage. At the moment I have a load in the machine which is truly stinky, having spent about 3 days in a basket with something wet. It may need washing a second time.
I regularly fail on the getting it dry too.
The next two weeks should be extra fun with no Crash to bath the kids while I do washing.
That's a wicked pile Mim. When we got back from England last week I was worried about catching up as the weather wasn't looking good, but I have managed it. Don't even have an ironing pile at the moment. Tomorrow that will change though!
The time-honoured technique of shoving it all back into the baskets is quite successful in the short term.
I shan't mention the long term for fear of giving you all nightmares. *insert evil laugh*
Yep I'm the folding queen too even though I hate it.And our bed is the clean laundry dumping ground too. (I hate laundry so much we don't even own a clothes line - everything goes in the dryer!)
Mim... I LOVE laundry!! Tell you what... you fly to the States to vacuum for me and I'll fly to Australia to do your laundry. Deal?
I've missed you at Casa Hice. Come visit soon!
Love ya.
