Planning ahead

On Saturday I'm going out with the Browncoats for yum cha at Pitt St Vegetarian and then we are heading down to The Rocks with the intention of setting up base camp in the beer garden at The Orient and sending out small parties on forays around the shops and markets.

I anticipate some no small challenge to my points allowance! I have perused the Eating Out guide but am none the wiser on the subject of points values for vegetarian yum cha - I shall simply have to take my best guess. I'll avoid anything fried or with excessive sauce, eat slowly and drink lots of chinese tea.

I am saving my points so I'll have 12 extra to play with on the day and I've allowed 8 of my 14 sugar and alcohol points for the day too. If the munchies strike while I'm at the Orient I'll take myself off to the stall that sells corn-on-the-cob (without butter of course!), mmm, points free and very filling :)

I'm feeling rather pleased with myself tonight, I did my 30 minutes on the treadmill, just as planned - apparently posting my intentions on the WW message boards is enough to keep me honest! I have a deal with cadillac to lose 1.5kg this week and get ourselves a 5kg loss bookmark each so I'd better not stuff things up on Saturday!

Ah yes. The terrors of eating out when watching points. A friend of mine who's been on the points programme for a number of years comes out to vege yum cha whenever she can. She mostly sticks to the steamed dishes, with lots of green tea and just a hint of fried things ;) Much like your plan. It'll be all good, and much fun!! Yay!

Oh wow, you're doing SO well! Yup, planning ahead is totally the key to staying on track. I'm sure you'll do really well. Best of luck, and let us know how you go! Oh, and well done with the exercise. :) Have a fab week.

Glad to see that posting your exercise on the ww boards keeps you honest. :-) I actually do the same thing and often post my intended exercise so when the time comes to do it, I actually go and do it just because I said I would!

Hope you have a terrific weekend and good luck with yum cha. I struggled through Thai tonight and definitely struggled but sound like you're well prepared in any case - good luck!

Have a great weekend..
